About ICSOC 2017

ICSOC, the International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing, is the premier international forum for academics, industry researchers, developers, and practitioners to report and share groundbreaking work in service-oriented computing.

ICSOC fosters cross-community scientific excellence by gathering experts from various disciplines, such as business-process management, distributed systems, computer networks, wireless and mobile computing, cloud computing, cyber-physical systems, networking, scientific workflows, services science, data science, management science, and software engineering.

ICSOC 2017 seeks outstanding, original contributions, including theoretical and empirical evaluations as well as practical and industrial experiences on all aspects of service-oriented computing. For more information on the topics of interest, please, see the CFP. Accepted papers will appear in the proceedings published by Springer-Verlag.

ICSOC 2017 will take place in Málaga, Spain, on 13-16 November 2017. Following on the ICSOC tradition, it will feature visionary keynote presentations, research and industry presentations, workshops, tool demonstrations, tutorials, and a PhD track.

Venue

All event related to ICSOC 2017 will take place in the beautiful city of Malaga. Conference events will be held at the premises od the School of Informatics (ETSI Informatica) of the University of Malaga, located in the Campus de Teatinos, 4 Km. West from the city center, not far from the airport.

The School of Informatics pioneered the Computer Science studies in Andalusia. Founded in 1987, it maintains an active collaboration with its socio-economic environment through several research projects and initiatives. The building offers halls and conference rooms of different sizes, which can accommodate up to 400 participants, to cover all the conference needs. Directions on how to access the rooms that will be used for the conference are available here.

Public transportation between Malaga and the university is served by underground trains and local buses (every 12 minutes in average), both stopping in front of the School of Informatics.

Transportation

The transportation system of Malaga is a network of infrastructural systems. Malaga is one of the most populous city of Andalusia and has a transportation system wich includes subways, buses and trains. Detailed information here.

Tourist information

Malaga is also a city rich in culture; apart from the numerous historical monuments that grace its streets and plazas, it is home to some of Spain’s most interesting museums and theatres. The Picasso Museum is without doubt the most important of these museums and stands as a fitting tribute to Malaga’s most famous native son. Detailed information here.
